Loïc FLAMENT
Loïc Jean-Loup Flament, born in 1973, lives in Paris. After studying biochemistry, he decided to follow an artistic path and enrolled in fine arts. He familiarized himself with various techniques by assisting photographers. In 2011, he created videos for electronic magazines and wrote two short films. Very committed to the analog process, in 2014 he returned to using medium format. In his darkroom, he developed a more intimate artistic work, returning to the essentials.
ARTISTIC INTENTION
"Fantastic cinema awakened my attraction to spirituality and led me to search for symbols in my artistic construction. I use artifices to create an atmosphere of strangeness. This contributes, at the moment of capturing the image, to a loss of bearings. An extended exposure time generates an uncontrollable element in the effects and adds an impalpable and invisible dimension."
