Keiichirô MURAMATSU
Keiichirô Muramatsu was born in 1972 in Shizuoka, Japan. After completing a professional photography course at Focal Point in Vancouver, he opened his portrait studio, The Fourth Avenue Studio, in 2008 in Shizuoka, Japan.
The artist incorporates Ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arrangement, into his photographic practice. More specifically, he studies the Nageire style ("Thrown-in Flowers"), a freer form of floral arrangement that places delicate wildflowers simply in rough vessels. Over the years, he has refined his work, establishing a dedicated studio for the creation of his artworks in 2014.

ARTISTIC INTENTION
Keiichirô composes flowers while being aware of the contradictory relationships between things such as the inorganic and organic, light and shadow, buds and blooms. This relationship produces the concept of the "in-between void."
